Guest Teaching Artist
Guest Teaching Artist Cecilia Saia will share iconic Milonga steps and concepts of Master Pepito Avellaneda, passed down to her through her intensive training with the Master himself in Buenos Aires. Class will be Co-taught with Mariana Parma.
Cecilia Saia is an Argentine Tango dancer with deep roots in the traditions of Buenos Aires. She studied with legendary Milonga master Pepito Avellaneda, who personally recommended her and her partner to Luis Bravo, creator of Forever Tango, leading to their engagement in the San Francisco and NYC Broadway production.
She partnered with renowned dancer Guillermo Merlo for seven years, performing Milonga and Vals in Canada and Europe, including appearances alongside Juan Carlos Copes.
As a teacher, Cecilia focuses on the authentic Milonga style of Pepito Avellaneda, sharing its iconic steps, rhythmic nuances, musicality, and playful character, as passed down to her through her direct training with the Master himself.
